Unfaithful

She fought with the lions
and stole their skin,
she wore it as a coat like
a wild, impulsive queen.
She cried with the birds and
made them a nest.
She kissed them goodbye and
waited for her river to crest.

Everybody knew it was
A matter of time
And she would have died for
Bucking the tide.

Then she swam with the fish but
she broke the rule.
She waited till the night and
silently left the group.
She flirted with cats and
learnt how to cope.
She gave them unsafe love,
the gave her some hope.

Everybody knew it was
A matter of time
And she would have died for
Bucking the tide.

Run away, now.
Run away.
